Location-based entertainment

Freemont Street Experience, Las Vegas, Nevada

Contour conceived and designed SlotZilla–a 40-meter tall, 1950s kitschy Slot
Machine–as the facade theme for this zipline attraction in downtown Las Vegas. We also performed all the conceptual architectural layout and design for SlotZilla’s launch tower and the two landing platforms for two levels of Zip Lines, running 220 and 520 meters, respectively, down Fremont Street. Contour oversaw all production for the scenic and sign elements and directly provided the large LED screens, slot reels, and slot arm as well as show control, video and audio media, and distribution programming. Contour also designed the ticket sales office on Fremont Street.

Installation + Ongoing Support

Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots Battle of the Giants

Dave & Buster’s arcades

Contour designed, developed, and assembled a larger-than-life Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots arcade game exclusively for Dave and Buster’s. The retro Mattel game was given new life in the form of 5-foot tall player-controlled robots through an exclusive licensing deal. This giant boxing ring pits two challengers against each other in a three-round knockout battle. Contour designed, fabricated and produced all aspects to deliver the 90 games to stores all over the United States and Canada.

Master Planning and Designing

Ecotourism theme park, Houston, Texas

Contour is the master planner and designer for this 500-acre destination
entertainment resort anchored by the EarthQuest Theme Park and including a water park, family entertainment center, retail & dining district, resort hotel & conference center, as well as a not-for-profit science center—all wrapped around the theme of Sustainability. Contour is leading the development of this project and assembling the funding team for this new generation of immersive family entertainment.

Mother GOAT for Lady Gaga

Born This Way Ball, global tour

At Lady Gaga’s request for an accomplished former Imagineer to design tour
effects for her, Contour conceived and presented an initial concept for a floating head, which she embraced and integrated into her Born This Way Ball. “Mother GOAT” served as the narrator of the concert. Contour produced and delivered all aspects of this effect by shooting original footage of Lady Gaga data-mapped to present the desired character, audio, video and show control hardware and software up to the flying rig.
